"Darkness is always more peaceful than any light, especially the spotlight of popularity. I mean who wants a spotlight in their face anyway?

Sounds from a place and an era that is familiar, “let’s see if we can find some rocks, come on”, and yet one that still offers lessons and perspectives for a future. We look back to move forward after all.

Huge insect legs pounding upon the earth, their bass waves stretching as far as waves need to stretch. The surface of this land, the earth, is no more an ants than it is ours. Why must we insist everything must be owned, be conquered, be capitalised? The sound of the bass waves, the spilling of water, the world being heard, but are we listening, really? Or are we obsessed with the next dumb fucking current issue media has prompted us to waste our time on. Time wasted when we could be looking at her, speaking through her water, through her waves, through her surface.

Opinion is everywhere, it too is blinding, another distraction messing with your mind, just like the ego you brush to neatness while you stare at yourself in the mirror finding the courage to step into the world you didn’t want and leave behind the sounds of a world you want to guide you, if only we could listen. That slime has gotten into the mind and souls, seemingly everyone is a mini capitalist, disgusted and yet indifferent to their own actions. The slime runs deep as the machine keeps whirring, keeps grinding, grinding the best of us down.

But being down we must not stay, for the archives of history tell us we must find our way to act. We dig deep and find a new perspective to offer something, as these files were dead down there on their own. The toxicity of the general public can be the deterrent, but I’d take corruption through battle rather than indifference and disengagement. After all, battles take on all forms, the battle for love, for connection and for corrected education.
